As a cellist in the 21st century and as boy growing up to be a man, I must begin to make a decision about the outcome of my life. I am at a point in life where I must decide what it is that I am most passionate about, and then pursue it.
The culture of the Classical world today is quite limited unfortunately in relationship to the scope of the music culture today. Cello, obviously, is a love of mine. Music colleges these days tend to offer only music. They do a great job of it. But I don't want to abandon all the other aspects of intellectual knowledge that I have not yet explored.
So here is my dilemna. How do I continue with my passion of music without compromising on the other things that make me who I am?
