A new video!!! During the last week of the Aspen Music Festival, some friends and I decided to create a music video for Astor Piazzolla's Libertango. It was an ambitious project to be sure; we had just one week left in the festival before everyone would leave. So, on a Tuesday we recorded the audio in an empty room at the Music School with cellists Jonathan Butler, Jacobsen Woollen and Hans Kristian Goldstein.
In less than an hour, we had a really good take of the Libertango (arranged for four cellists by John Lee). After mixing and polishing the audio track, we then had the big project of how to film the music video. We decided to use the field by the Marolt Ranch in Aspen, Colorado because of its close location and beautiful mountain background.
On a Thursday, we got three friends of ours, Allison Emerick, Sophie Verhaeghe and Jamie Clark to help us film the video using only iPhone 4Ss! It was a huge success; we got all sorts of different takes. Jonathan Butler and I then edited the footage the next two days and then released the video for you all to see! I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did!
