Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to perform the third movement of Haydn's Cello Concerto in C with the Little Orchestra Society for my Avery Fisher Hall debut! It was a wonderful concert and opportunity to be able to play such a devishly difficult and fun piece in Lincoln Center's famous concert hall.
With only one rehearsal and a dress rehearsal, we hit the ground running! The concert featured the wonderful Patti Smith narrating Tubby the Tuba, and also featured amazing soloists Soyoung Park, Min Xiao-Fen, and Alexander Tall performing Tan Dun, Queen of the Night, and more! The hall was pretty much packed full of children and adults alike, and it was so much fun to have such a supportive and enthusiastic audience. I want to thank everybody at the Little Orchestra Society so much for making the experience such a great one!
